Atrato has established a new investment strategy to complement our existing real estate offering where we focus on the origination and acquisition of long income properties, on long term leases to credit worthy entities.


We are currently focused on the acquisition of properties let to Government, quasi-Government (including Local Authorities, NHS Trusts, Universities and Housing Associations) and investment grade corporate tenants. These could be in the form of income strips, sale and leasebacks, ground leases and standing stock.


We will also consider forward funding opportunities and can provide construction finance for fully amortising leases for regeneration/development projects. Each opportunity is assessed on a case by case basis.

Max is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with over seven years of real estate experience. He joins from Whitmarsh Holt Young, which was established in 1999, where he was Associate Partner, focusing on long income and development led real estate deals.


David is a Public Sector CIPFA qualified accountant by profession and after 18 years in the public sector, where he reached the position of Director of Finance, he spent a further 10 years working in banking specialising in public sector and tax related transactions.
